The Founder’s Story — Daaraa Silks
Daaraa means abundance — always flowing. A name chosen by my daughter, Daaraa began with a dream of creating something meaningful that could last for generations. After 13 years in software testing, I felt ready to step into a new journey and build something of my own. Coming from a family where generations worked for others, starting Daaraa became my way of creating a legacy rooted in passion, purpose, and the belief that every dream deserves a chance to grow.
My love for silk began growing up, watching the women around me celebrate festivals and special occasions in beautiful sarees, while my mother carefully managed every rupee for our education. I grew up loving silk, even when I couldn't afford it, and that feeling stayed with me. For me, a saree is more than just fabric — it carries tradition, memories, craftsmanship, and the emotions of generations. That belief became the heart of Daaraa. We curate premium silk sarees that celebrate India's rich weaving heritage while making timeless beauty more accessible.
